
As part of our in-depth preseason college softball coverage, today we dive into the Atlantic 10 Conference – the A10- and forecast what could be in store for the league during the 2023 season.
1. Conference Breakdown
George Washington won the A10’s regular-season championship in dominant fashion, finishing the year with just three losses in conference play. Fordham won the conference tournament, making a return to the NCAA postseason field.
The A10 was +1 in the realignment category this year, adding Loyola Chicago to their membership. No teams departed the conference in the mass-realignment shakeup.
A total of ten softball programs currently compete in the A10; those programs include Dayton; Fordham; George Mason; George Washington; Loyola-Chicago; Rhode Island; St. Bonaventure; Saint Joseph’s; Saint Louis; and UMass.
