At the end of the 2022 season, two teams could say that they ended the year with a win. One of those teams was the national champion and the other was the Baylor Bears.
The National Invitational Softball Championship postseason tournament champions, the trophy might not be as sought-after as the Women’s College World Series championship hardware, but the victory did give the Bears a true bright spot after some tough years on the field. Along with the trophy came the opportunity to show that there’s still a softball team worth watching down in Waco.
