1. Conference Breakdown
South Dakota State continued their run through the conference over the last couple of years, winning the league’s regular-season and tournament championships and earning a regional 3-seed in the NCAA tournament.
There were no realignment issues affecting the Summit League this summer; the league’s softball offering currently numbers eight programs, including Kansas City, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Omaha, South Dakota, South Dakota State, St. Thomas, and Western Illinois.
