The 2022 season was an impressive, almost magical, ride for the Weber State Wildcats. Faced with a fair gauntlet of a schedule, the Wildcats pulled off impressive wins left and right during the non-conference portion of the season and nearly ran the table in Big Sky play, finishing with a 13-1 conference record.
After running the table with three shutout, run-rule wins in the conference tournament, the Wildcats’ impressive season was rewarded by the NCAA softball committee with a regional 3-seed in the Seattle regional. Despite a less-than-ideal 0-2 exit from the postseason, the overall successful season gives the program a lot to build on moving forward.
