UCLA outfielder Aaliyah Jordan has been medically cleared to play this season, the Bruins announced on Thursday.
Jordan suffered a torn ACL in February 2022 after a collision during the St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational. She appeared in only eight games during the 2022 season and has not played since the injury occurred on February 19th.
In April 2022, Jordan received a medical hardship waiver from the NCAA that made her eligible to play the 2023 season. The hardship waiver granted Jordan a nearly-unprecedented 7th season of college softball.
A freshman in 2017, Jordan suffered a torn right ACL that caused her to redshirt her true freshman campaign. She was an All-American in 2018 and 2021, as well as an all-region performer in 2019.
