Veteran professional player and former Florida Gator Aleshia Ocasio will make her debut behind the broadcast mic on Saturday.
Ocasio is slated to provide color commentary for the Auburn vs. Georgia game on Saturday at 12 pm. She will be paired with play-by-play broadcaster Matt Schumacker and the game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
The game is Ocasio’s first time in the broadcast booth for ESPN and is believed to be her first broadcast of any kind as an analyst.
During her playing career, Ocasio was part of the 2015 national championship-winning Florida team and also earned a pair of All-American awards. She earned 71 wins in the circle and notched a career .278 batting average during her collegiate career. She also spent several years on the Puerto Rican national team roster and has played professionally in both National Pro Fastpitch and Athletes Unlimited.
