Alliance University, a Division II school based in the Northeast, is shutting its doors permanently effective August 31st.
Formerly known as Nyack College, the school will close prior to the fall 2023 semester. The school chose to close following a loss of accreditation that would have been effective on December 31st.
The Warriors’ softball program posted a 5-39 record during the 2023 season, with a 3-21 showing in conference play.
Alliance finished in fourth place in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference championship in 2019, the highest finish for the program in nearly two decades. The Warriors won 17 games overall that year, the highest win total since 2002.
