Georgia has hired Amber Freeman as an assistant coach.
Freeman will fill the “3rd assistant” role that became available on July 1st when the NCAA’s staff expansion went into effect.
Most recently the pitching coach at Cal during the 2023 season, Freeman will work with the hitters and catchers at UGA.
Prior to her tenure at Cal, Freeman spent three seasons as the head coach at NAIA Vanguard University. She earned an 82-36 overall record at the helm of the Lions.
A three-time All-American during her playing career at Arizona State, Freeman was the Pac-12 Player of the Year in 2013 and currently stands fourth in the Sun Devil program record books with 56 career home runs.
