College Softball: Analyzing the America East Offseason Coaching Moves

From now until February, Extra Inning Softball is your home for wall-to-wall preseason coverage of the 2022 college softball season. Today, we take a look at the America East Conference and the league’s offseason coaching moves.

Seven softball teams compete in the AEast standings; four of the seven changed head coaches this summer. Defending champions UMBC, as well as Stony Brook and Albany, were the only schools that retained their current head coaches. Thanks to an assistant coaching change at Stony Brook, only UMBC and Albany will enter 2022 with the same coaching staff they sported a year ago.
