College Softball: Analyzing the Mountain West Offseason Coaching Moves

From now until February, Extra Inning Softball is your home for wall-to-wall preseason coverage of the 2022 college softball season. Today, we take a look at the America East Conference and the league’s offseason coaching moves.

Nine softball teams compete in the Mountain West; the league is one of the parity-filled in the nation on the softball diamond. Of those nine teams, four programs experienced head coaching changes this summer. Almost one-half of the league’s coaching rooms look very different than they did at this time last year, though the remaining five programs remained largely unchanged even within the assistant ranks.
