
Arizona infielder Allie Skaggs has been named the Extra Inning Softball National Player of the Week for her efforts during week 12 of the college softball season.
Skaggs batted .400 on the week, with six hits and one walk to her credit; she hit three home runs in four games, with nine RBIs and five runs scored.
The sophomore infielder was 4-8 in a doubleheader sweep over New Mexico State, including a multi-home run game in the opening game against the Aggies. She notched eight RBI in the pair of games, including hitting a grand slam.
In a doubleheader against Fresno State, Skaggs went 2-4 in the opening game, with an RBI single accounting for her 9th run driven in on the week.
Across the last two weeks – nine games – Skaggs has collected eight home runs, 19 RBIs, and now leads the PAC-12 with nineteen home runs on the season.
