Former Michigan State pitcher Ashley Miller is transferring to Northwestern, the program announced on Thursday.
In the 2023 campaign, Miller missed several weeks in mid-March and ended the year with a 4.22 ERA, six wins, and 129 strikeouts in 114.1 innings of work as a true junior.
Miller was an all-region selection in 2022 and earned a nomination to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team in 2021. During the 2022 season, Miller posted a 1.81 ERA with 14 wins and 244 strikeouts in 193.1 innings of work. She held opponents to a .208 batting average that year and notched a strikeout/walk ratio better than 4/1.
Northwestern’s pitching staff posted a 2.96 cumulative ERA, with 42 wins, a 1.24 staff WHIP, and 346 strikeouts in 374 innings in the circle during the 2023 campaign.
