Marshall slugger Autumn Owen has been named the Extra Inning Softball Player of the Week for her efforts during Week 3 of the Division 1 softball season.
During her team’s five-game stay at the Liberty Classic, Owen hit six home runs and collected fourteen RBIs.
Owen recorded multi-hit performances in four of her team’s five games and reached base safely via a hit in all five of the showings. She also recorded at least one RBI in each of the matchups.
In the weekend opener against Northern Illinois, Owen was 2-3 at the plate with a pair of home runs, three RBIs, and three runs scored. Later, in a game against Morgan State, she recorded four RBIs and hit a home run.
Perfect at the plate against Princeton in a 2-2 offensive showing, Owen notched three RBIs and one home run against the Tigers, then added a solo home run and a three-RBI performance against Liberty and Elon, respectively, to close the weekend.
Her weekend numbers also included a double, three walks, and a sacrifice fly.
