Boise State’s Kelsey Hall has been named the Extra Inning Softball National Player of the Week for her efforts during Week 9 of the Division 1 softball season.
In a Mountain West series against New Mexico, Hall batted .857 (6-7) at the plate, with a .917 on-base percentage and a 2.714 slugging percentage.
Hall recorded four home runs, 13 RBIs, scored eight runs, and was walked five times.
In game one of the series against UNM, Hall was a perfect 3-3 at the plate, with two home runs and eight RBIs to her credit. She hit a 3-run home run in the first inning, added an RBI double in the fourth, and enacted the run-rule with a grand slam in the fifth.
Game two saw Hall go 3-4 at the plate with another pair of home runs and five RBIs to her credit. She again got the scoring started with an RBI single in the first inning, then aded a 3-run home run in the second inning that again brought her Broncos into run-rule territory. The Broncos’ designated player added a solo home run in the third inning.
In the series finale, Hall was 0-0 at the plate, being walked four times and scoring three runs on the day.
