Boo De Oliveira will not return as Purdue head coach, the school announced on Tuesday.
The 2023 season marked De Oliveira’s seventh season leading the Boilermakers; she compiled a 150-202 record during her tenure. Most recently, during the 2023 season, Purdue compiled a 23-30 overall and a 6-17 conference showing.
“On behalf of the University, our softball program and the entire Purdue community, we are grateful to Coach Boo De Oliveira, her staff and our student-athletes for their dedicated efforts on behalf of Purdue Softball,” Purdue athletic director Mike Bobinski said in a statement. “We wish Boo the best of luck as she embarks on her next chapter. The Boilermakers are well positioned for the future, and we are intently focused on pursuing and sustaining success.”
Prior to taking the helm at Purdue, De Oliveira spent one season as an assistant coach at Arkansas. Her resume also includes stints on staff at Arizona State, North Carolina, Edgewood College, and at Purdue as an assistant from 2007-10.
