Hi everyone:
This is Brentt Eads of Extra Inning Softball.
One thing I love about softball is that we’re a community… a family… and when there’s something amiss everyone jumps in with concern and well wishes.

We need your help tonight: our Carlos Arias, who does everything for Extra Inning Softball from Team Rankings to The Last Inning, is hospitalized tonight in Fresno, California, and is in Intensive Care (though he’s currently in stable condition).
His mother, Sue, let me know yesterday (Saturday) that Carlos was placed in the ICU with pneumonia complicated by diabetes and is intubated so he can breathe easier. He’s sedated to help keep him calm and was tested for COVID, even though he has had the vaccine, and the results were negative.
His mother and father, Will, are with him and they’re keeping me updated. We’ll share info too as it’s available.
Please keep Carlos in your thoughts and prayers!
He’s had a tough year so far with his health and he has SO been looking forward to this summer to get back out on the road and seeing you, the “softball people,” that he loves so much!
If you would like to send a note of support, I’m sure it would mean so much to him… email info@extrainningsoftball.com and we’ll make sure he gets your info.
We will be pushing back the launch of the 14U club team rankings–Carlos told me this week he had great info and was ready and excited to get going on this–so we’ll delay until he gets back in the Captain’s Chair again.
Thank you everyone,
Brentt Eads
