Breaking News: Scrap Yard Fast Pitch Partners with Extra Inning Softball

Monica Abbott is one of several elite pitchers for the Scrap Yard Nationals team.

Conroe, TX – Scrap Yard Fast Pitch, LLC (SYFP), an independent women’s professional team, announced today that it has partnered with fastpitch media company Extra Inning Softball to live stream twenty-two games this summer against the Nationals, USA Softball, and international squads from China and Mexico.

Scrap Yard Fast Pitch, featuring a star-studded team of over 40 professional players, will travel across the nation competing in locations such as Colorado, California, South Carolina, and Louisiana, in addition to defending their home turf in north Houston.

The seven-series national tour will begin on Friday, June 8 at the Scrap Yard Sports Complex and wrap up on Wednesday, July 25 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Extra Inning Softball will produce and host the 22 games, which will stream live on free media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube, as well as being seen on linear TV in markets covered by Cox Communications.

Scrap Yard Fast Pitch includes legendary athletes such as pitcher Monica Abbott and catcher Amanda Chidester, NCAA National Champions Lauren Haeger and Aubree Munro, and several All-Americans past and present, including newly-signed infielders Vanessa Shippy and Tori Vidales, who were just announced this week as All-Americans.

One of the highlights of the summer will be USA Softball teams training and competing at the Scrap Yard Sports Complex.

USA Softball will train at the Scrap Yard Sports Complex in mid-June, where many USA team members will be practicing and competing with their SYFP teammates, bringing together professional players and future Olympians who will participate in the Tokyo Olympic Games just two years away.

Part of the mission statement for the 2018 season is to bring the game to the fans, whether in person at large tournaments across the nation, or through social media.

When asked about partnering with a company who can provide fans with access to the games, Scrap Yard General Manager Connie May said, “Scrap Yard Fast Pitch is excited to partner with Extra Inning Softball. Brentt Eads is known for his attention to detail and always putting together a quality product.  With the talent on the field and the talent behind our production, our fans that are unable to make it to the games will feel like they are right in the middle of the action”.

“We’re excited to bring the highest quality of production to these games,” says Eads, President of Extra Inning Softball, an editorial media site which features editorial coverage and live streaming of all levels of fastpitch softball and will do extensive written and video features on the players and their stories on and off the field.

“These are the best players in the world and its time that we elevated the quality and level of the broadcasts so that the fans have the best announcers, production values, camera angles, graphics, replays and everything else needed to showcase the talent and skills of these amazing athletes, as well as tell their stories.”

“I’m excited that, in an unprecedented way, we can build up the pro game through streaming and TV, editorial coverage, and social media to make these elite players house-hold names and role models to the future young athletes that someday will take their place.”
