
Bryanna Bell, a former player at Prairie View A&M, has passed away. She was 21.
In a tweet on Monday, Prairie View softball announced Bell’s death, writing, “The PVAMU SOFTBALL family would like to extend our condolences to the Bell family on the loss of their daughter and our former teammate Bryanna Bell. Once a Panther always a panther. RIP #10”
Bell spent the 2020 season on the Panthers’ roster, recording one hit, one RBI, scoring one run, and going a perfect 2-2 in stolen bases. While she didn’t play softball in the latter portions of her college career, she did graduate from Prairie View in three years with a degree in agricultural science.
The Houston Astros also announced Bell’s passing; Bell had been part of the Astros Youth Academy and the Astros RBI Softball team, winning back-to-back RBI World Series’ in 2018 and 2019. She remained active with the organization while in college.
