Bryant head coach Nick French is stepping down from his position.
French spent five seasons as the Bulldogs’ head coach, a tenure that followed one year as an assistant coach with the program.
During the 2023 season, the Bulldogs posted an 18-29 overall record, their most wins in a single season since 2014. The record included a 6-12 showing in America East conference play.
“I want to thank coach French for all that he has done for the softball program at Bryant University and certainly wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” Bryant athletic director Bill Smith said in a statement.
Prior to his tenure at Bryant, French’s resume included stints as an assistant and volunteer assistant coach at Arizona, Georgia, Memphis, Holy Cross, and Towson.
