Liberty catcher Caroline Hudson has been named the Extra Inning Softball Player of the Week for her efforts during Week 4 of the Division 1 softball season.
During her team’s 4-game weekend, Hudson batted .583 (7-12) with five home runs and 11 RBIs.
Against Iona on Saturday, Hudson was a perfect 2-2 at the plate with a home run, two RBIs, and two runs scored. She went 1-3 against UConn in the second game of the weekend.
In a Sunda doubleheader against Radford, Hudson hit two home runs in back-to-back games, becoming just the second player in conference history to accomplish that feat. She was 2-3 at the plate with four RBIs in game one of the DH, then went 2-4 with five RBIs and three runs scored in game two.
She currently leads the ASun with seven home runs on the season.
