National College Softball Editor Justin McLeod’s “Mid-Major” Top 10 is here following Week 10 action.
San Diego State vaults into the top spot after a series win over Boise State; the Aztecs recorded their second straight series victory over teams in the top portion of the Mountain West standings.
Checking in at their highest ranking of the year is Weber State, who jump to #2 in this week’s rankings. The Wildcats remain undefeated in Big Sky Conference play.
Moving up to #3 in this week’s rankings is Loyola Marymount. The West Coast Conference leaders moved to 5-1 in league play and boast a quality RPI thanks to an early non-conference schedule that included some top teams.
Western Kentucky represents Conference USA solely in this week’s rankings. The Hilltoppers are tied atop the CUSA East standings and enjoyed a bye week in Week 10.
The hard-hitting ways of UNC Greensboro have continued this season, and the Spartans move to #5 in this week’s rankings. The Spartans are a spotless 12-0 in conference play.
Liberty also moves up in this week’s rankings, to #6 overall. The Flames dropped a midweek affair to Virginia Tech, but swept Florida Gulf Coast in a weekend series.
