
In three years, Mississippi State went from an incomplete 2020 season that showed promise, to a 2021 conference showing that touched both ends of the spectrum of success and failure, and then a 2022 season that ultimately finished in the program’s first Super Regional appearance.
Appropriate and only fitting, the Bulldogs got to break through into a Super in the final season of program legend Mia Davidson‘s career, giving the SEC’s career home run queen her deepest postseason run as a swan song. Now, though, the program is faced with the unenviable task of following up that Super Regional appearance and doing so without Davidson in the lineup.
