Arizona State infielder Cydney Sanders has entered the NCAA’s transfer portal, sources confirmed to Extra Inning Softball on Monday.
As a freshman during the 2022 season, Sanders was named the PAC-12 Freshman of the Year and was a first-team All-American after the season. She was also a top-3 finalist for National Freshman of the Year.
During her rookie year, Sanders finished second on the Sun Devil roster with a .425 batting average and accumulated 21 home runs, 63 RBIs, and a slugging percentage of .952.
Sanders’ twenty-one home runs this year set a new Sun Devil single-season program record.
