Dedeann Pendleton-Helm is the new head coach at Northern Colorado, the school announced on Thursday.
Pendleton-Helm spent the last seventeen years as an assistant coach at Colorado State, working with the Rams’ pitching staff during her tenure. The top three winningest pitchers in CSU program history, as well as the 2012 Mountain West Pitcher of the Year, all blossomed under her tutelage.
In the early 2000s, Pendleton-Helm spent six years on staff at Ole Miss, working with every aspect of the Rebels’ program at that time.
A Creighton alumnus, Pendleton-Helm set the program’s career home run record during her own tenure as a Bluejay and twice earned all-MVC honors during her playing career in the mid-1990s.
Northern Colorado finished the 2022 season with a 23-30 overall record and a 10-8 showing in conference play. The Bears went 1-2 in the Big Sky conference tournament.
