DeMarini Invitational Final Comes Down to Familiar Names

At the beginning of the day, 12 teams were still alive vying for the title of DeMarini Invitational Showcase champion.

By the time it was done, a pair of very familiar names were the last two standing.

Last year the host Beverly Bandits had co-champs in the Bandits 18U-Alvelo and the Bandits 18U-Allen, and in 2016 the Bandits 18U-Tyrrell squad won it with the Birmingham Thunderbolts Premier finishing second.

In 2015 the Birmingham Thunderbolts Premier team won it on a walk-off run-rule grand slam by current BYU All-American Libby Sugg.
