With all the club tournaments going on right now in Atlanta, Kansas City and soon the Chicago area, we’re starting to learn of key players who’ve changed teams and others who ended up at different schools after being released from previous ones due to coach changes.
One of the biggest ones to report is infielder Nikki Cuchran who got out of her DePaul signing and is now headed to Northwestern.
Nikki was a 1st Team Extra Inning Softball All-American as an infielder as the lefty power hitter put up huge numbers for her Montini Catholic high school in Lombard, Illinois: a .702 batting average, 16 home runs, 19 doubles, 57 runs scored, 79 RBs and 42 walks including two intentional walks in the 7th inning of the Class 3A state championship game which her team went on to win for the second time in three years.
The senior was also ranked in the Top 40 of the Extra Elite 100.
Overall, we have more than 50 signings, verbals or club team changes this week added to the database impacting such programs as Alabama, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi State and many more!
This is our searchable “Extra Inning Softball Signing/Verbal Database” which is updated each Wednesday and, if anything else, will serve as a good tool for prospects of all ages to see what players are going where–especially important when a recruit wants to know if a particular university took five pitchers or three middle infielders in their class!
