As we expected, once the Sept. 1 date came around and college coaches could talk to 2019 recruits, there has been a lot of players changing teams.
One of those is slugger Joley Mitchell, who was a standout at the So Cal A’s Invitational in June and lit it up all summer slugging home runs, running well on the bases and playing a strong defense behind the plate. She had originally committed to Missouri but is now headed to Notre Dame.
And we’ve heard from several players through writing us on our Contact Us page where a player or parent can submit info via the “I Committed!” (2nd tab down) section.
One example was Nia Carter, a talented 2019 outfielder who plays for the Corona Angels-Tyson 18U team. She wrote us this week to say:
“I was committed to the University of Louisville in my 10th grade year (2016). With the coaching changes at Louisville came the opportunity to play in the Big Ten and for new coach Rene Gillespie at the University of Iowa.”
“Marty Tyson is a great coach who has supported me along the way and prepared me for this moment. I’m so excited and proud to be a Hawkeye!
And then we got several Twitter submissions from the public with updates such as these two over the last week or two:

Today we have two dozen new signings, verbals or club team changes added to the database impacting programs like Alabama, Florida State, Indiana, Kentucky, Liberty, Missouri, South Florida and many others!
This is our searchable “Extra Inning Softball Signing/Verbal Database” which is typically updated on Wednesdays and serves as a good tool for prospects of all ages to see which players are going where–especially important when a recruit wants to know if a particular university took five pitchers or three middle infielders in their class!
- PLAYERS & PARENTS: go to our Contact Us page and fill out the info in “I Committed!” (2nd tab down) to get info to us.
- COACHES: email [email protected] your player data to match the spreadsheet format below.
