For the *12th* consecutive week, Oklahoma is the top-ranked team in the Extra Inning Softball Top 25 poll.
Virginia Tech, Florida State, and Arkansas round out the top four in the poll, with each team maintaining their position for the second consecutive week. Virginia Tech and Arkansas each clinched their respective conference titles this weekend, as the Hokies swept past Boston College and Arkansas recorded a sweep over South Carolina.
Despite being run-ruled in the series finale against Utah, UCLA checks in at #5 in the Week 12 rankings. Northwestern, Alabama, Oklahoma State, Washington, and Arizona State round out the top ten.
After recording a series sweep over Georgia Tech, Clemson vaults up to #14 overall. Similarly, Florida moves to #15 in the rankings after taking a series win over LSU in Baton Rouge.
New to this week’s rankings are Missouri and San Diego State. The 19th-ranked Tigers have had ups-and-downs this season and recorded a series sweep of Texas A&M this weekend; SDSU swept past San Jose State to move to 16-2 in Mountain West play. The Aztecs are ranked for the first time this season.
The SEC leads all conferences with nine teams in the Week 12 Top 25 poll. Other conferences represented in this week’s rankings include the ACC (5), the Big 12 (3), the PAC-12 (4), the Big 10 (1), the American (2), and the Mountain West (1).
