Twice-defending national champions Oklahoma remain atop the Extra Inning Softball Top 25 poll.
After undefeated opening week showings, the Sooners and UCLA held onto the top two spots in the Top 25 poll. Florida, Tennessee, and Oklahoma State round out the top five.
Two teams jumped five spots from the preseason ranking based on their actual play in week one; #7 Arkansas and #10 Georgia both moved into the top ten after their hard-hitting offenses handed them impressive starts to the year.
The biggest drop in the ranking was experienced by Alabama, who fell from #11 in the preseason poll to #19 in the Week 1 ranking. The Crimson Tide are 2-1 to start the 2023 season, with a loss to Lehigh and wins over Georgia Southern.
