We continue hopping around the nation to spotlight top prospects in the 2020 class who, let’s just say, are strong candidates to make the Extra Elite 100 list that will be unveiled starting Labor Day and today our stop takes us to Dothan, Alabama to learn more about one of the top pitchers in the junior class.

Jaala Torrence is a power pitcher who had a working speed of 65 to 66 mph this summer at PGF Nationals and comes from an athletic family as her father, Jeff, played linebacker at the University of Alabama from 1991-1994 under Head Coach Gene Stallings and won a National Championship in ’92.
But softball is just one side of Jaala’s success: she’s strong in the classroom as well with a 4.3 GPA, not surprising considering her father is a school principal and her mother LaToya has a medical degree.
Here’s today’s spotlight on a player with a bright future on and off the field…
