Ally Repko has been hired as the new assistant coach at UVA Wise, the school announced on Tuesday.
A Virginia native, Repko spent four years playing at Elon before spending her ‘super senior’ year at Virginia Tech during the 2022 season.
While at Elon during her undergraduate career, Repko batted .278 in four years, with 27 home runs and 93 RBIs to her credit. She earned an all-conference honor in three separate seasons, including being named to the league’s All-Rookie team in 2018; All-Tournament team in 2019; and all-conference First Team in 2021.
In 2022, while at Virginia Tech, Repko appeared in 30 games and was part of the Hokies’ team that earned the #3 overall seed in the NCAA tournament and hosted a regional and Super Regional. She batted .225 during her single year in Blacksburg, with five doubles and 11 RBIs.
“We feel very blessed to have the opportunity to add Ally [Repko] to our staff,” UVA Wise co-head coach Karen Bitter said in a school statement. “She has this innate ability to connect to the people she is around and will be able to assist our program in all areas of the game. She is coming off an amazing career at Elon and at Virginia Tech, and I am excited to see her impact on our program.”
