Yale has opted not to renew the contract of head coach Jen Goodwin, and she will not return to the program.
Goodwin finished her ninth year at the helm of the program on Sunday, closing a 2022 season that saw the Bulldogs post an 11-23 overall record and a 9-12 mark in Ivy League play.
During Goodwin’s tenure, she led the squad to an overall record of 106-242-1. As with every Ivy League program, her tenure was interrupted by the pandemic-shortened 2020 season and the 2021 campaign that was cancelled by the Ivy League.
The 2017 season was the Bulldogs’ best year in conference play, as they went 10-10 against Ivy opponents that year. In 2012, Goodwin also shepherded Sarah Onorato to the Ivy League Player of the Year award.
Prior to Yale, Goodwin worked for the NFCA and was on staff at Harvard and San Jose State. She served as interim head coach at Dartmouth in 2004.
