The most-asked question on the assistant coaching carousel now has an answer: Jimmy Kolaitis will remain on the Arizona State staff as an assistant coach.
Kolaitis will serve as the top assistant coach under new Sun Devils head coach Megan Bartlett, who was hired on June 22nd. He is known primarily for his work as a hitting coach and as a recruiter.
The sole holdover from the coaching staff that led ASU to the 2022 PAC-12 title and a top-8 national seed in the NCAA tournament, the 2023 season will mark Kolaitis’ third on staff in Tempe.
Prior to joining the ASU staff, Kolaitis had been the head coach at UAB; his resume also includes lengthy tenures on staff at both Oregon and South Alabama.
Jeremy Manley will round out the Sun Devils’ full-time staff, serving as the program’s pitching coach. Manley spent the last three seasons on staff at Ball State and previously coached at Kansas, Ohio, and Illinois.
