Florida Atlantic has named Jordan Clark as their new head coach.
Clark spent the last four seasons as an assistant coach at Ohio State, most recently serving as the Buckeyes’ hitting coach. Under her guidance, the Buckeye offense buoyed the program in the latter portion of the 2022 season.
As a unit this year, the Buckeyes batted .291 with fifty home runs and 263 runs scored. OSU notched 66 doubles, saw seven players ended the year with batting averages over .300, and slugged .462 as a team.
Prior to her tenure on staff at OSU, Clark spent three seasons on staff at Arkansas. She was part of the 2018 Regional Coaching Staff of the Year that led the Hogs to a regional hosting bid and a Super Regional-hosting berth, serving as the program’s first-base and outfield coach.
Florida Atlantic finished the 2022 season with a 29-26 overall record, including a 15-9 showing in Conference USA play. The Owls went 1-2 in the CUSA tournament to end their season, a year that also included the passing of longtime head coach and softball legend Joan Joyce.
