San Diego State is hiring Kendall Fearn as a full-time assistant coach, sources confirmed to Extra Inning Softball on Tuesday.
Fearn spent the last five seasons on the staff at Indiana, including the last four with the title of associate head coach.
During her time at Indiana, Fearn was the Hoosiers’ hitting coach and also coached the team’s outfielders. She was part of the staff that guided the Hoosiers to a 5th-place during the conference-only 2021 season, as well as to the best start in program history, a 14-0 run to begin the 2019 season.
Prior to joining the staff at Indiana, Fearn was an assistant coach at Marshall. Her resume also includes stints on staff at Georgia Southern and UNLV, her alma mater.
At San Diego State, Fearn joins a program that went 39-16 during the 2022 season, including a 20-4 in Mountain West play en route to the conference title. The Aztecs reached the Tempe regional final in the NCAA tournament.
