Former NC State pitching coach Leigh Ann Genetti is back with the program, this time as the interim pitching coach.
Genetti, who lives in the Raleigh/Durham area, served as the Pack pitching coach in the late 2000s and early 2010s before resigning her post following the 2011 season.
In returning to NC State, Genetti is the only coach on the Wolfpack’s interim coaching staff with Division 1 coaching experience. Deven Boland, who previously served as an assistant coach at a community college in Iowa and had been the Pack’s Director of Operations, is serving as on-field interim coach following the firing of head coach Jennifer Patrick-Swift in early March.
Since leaving the college coaching ranks, Genetti has served as a private pitching instructor. During her playing career at South Florida, Genetti was an All-American and won Conference USA’s Pitcher of the Year award in 2004. She was inducted into the USF Hall of Fame in 2008.
