Minot State head coach Nat Wagner is stepping down from his position.
In a press release, the school noted that Wagner’s resignation was motivated by a desire to spend more time with his family. In a quote, Minot State’s interim athletic director said, “Nat has left the program in a strong position for the next coaching staff. However difficult it is to lose someone like Nat from our program, I’m both grateful for his work at Minot State and happy for him as he moves to be reunited with his family.”
Wagner spent the last three seasons as the Beavers’ head coach, notched a 60-48 overall record during his tenure. That showing included a 28-20 mark during the 2022 season, with a 9-15 showing during conference play.
Under Wagner’s guidance, the Beavers led the nation in stolen bases during the 2021 season.
Prior to taking the helm at Minot State, Wagner was an assistant coach at Augustana and was part of the staff that guided that program to the 2019 national title. His resume also includes time on staff at Valley City State and St. Thomas.
