Nominations for the Class of 2026 are Open! Deadline: Oct 5, 2024

The wait is over! Nominations for the Class of 2026 player rankings are open! We encourage coaches to submit their standout athletes for recognition across multiple prestigious categories. The nomination window closes on October 5, 2024 so be sure your coach submits your player for consideration before the deadline!

There is no cost to rank players. However, Extra Inning Softball charges a $5 fee for each player nomination, which helps support our new proprietary rankings software system. At Extra Inning Softball, we strive to spotlight well-rounded student-athletes who excel both on and off the field. This year, we are excited to introduce a series of rankings and honors, designed to recognize their accomplishments. These recognitions will come out in the following order:

Extra Elite 100, Extra Select, and Extra Prospects

The highly anticipated Extra Elite 100 will showcase the best talent in the Class of 2026, highlighting players who have proven themselves at the highest level of competition. This list is where athletes demonstrate their softball abilities, leadership, and work ethic. Beyond the top 100, our Extra Select 101-200 and Extra Prospects 201-300 rankings will provide recognition to even more standout athletes who may not have cracked the top 100 but still deserve to be celebrated for their contributions on the field.

Extra Elite Hitters Hotlist Rankings and All-Region Rankings

This is a new rankings offered by Extra Inning Softball. We will first annouce the top hitters by region (Power Hitters by Lineup) and then on a national level (Power Hitters Hot List).

Academic Honor Roll: Elite Scholars, Select Achievers, and Distinguished Prospects

As part of our dedication to recognizing well-rounded student-athletes, we’re proud to introduce our Academic Honor Roll. Players will be placed into one of three categories based on their GPA:

• Elite Scholars: GPA 4.0+
  These athletes maintain a strong academic record while balancing their softball commitments.
• Select Achievers: GPA 3.75 – 3.99
  Players who consistently excel academically, achieving high GPAs while competing at elite levels in softball.
• Distinguished Prospects: GPA 3.5-3.74
  This category celebrates athletes with perfect GPAs, showcasing their dedication to both academic and athletic success.

How to Submit Nominations

Nominations are now open, and the deadline to submit is October 5th. Coaches, families, and players can submit their applications online through the Extra Inning Softball website.

This is a unique chance for players to be recognized for both their on-field talent and academic dedication. If you haven’t submitted your nomination yet, now is the time! Help us highlight the exceptional athletes of the Class of 2026 by giving them the recognition they’ve earned.
