A trio of players are transferring to Oregon. The group includes reigning SoCon Pitcher of the Year Morgan Scott; former Duke player Kyla Morris; and former Loyola Marymount Lion Alyssa Daniell.
Scott won each of the last two Southern Conference Pitcher of the Year awards while at UNC Greensboro, and she established herself as a workhorse in the circle during her time as a Spartan. She finished her UNCG tenure with 602 strikeouts in just over 522 innings of work; in the 2022 season alone, she notched 286 Ks. A true junior with the 2022 season, she has two years of eligibility remaining.
A graduate transfer from Duke with one year of eligibility remaining, Morris played sparingly during the early portion of her Blue Devil career. She was a starter for the latter portion of her career, primarily in center field. During the 2022 season, Morris hit .263 – good for 10th on the Duke roster – and finished the year with three doubles, 21 runs scored, and eleven RBIs, as well as eleven stolen bases.
Twice an all-West Coast Conference honoree during her time at Loyola Marymount, Daniell hit .357 during the 2022 season with seven home runs and ten doubles to her credit. A true sophomore during the campaign, she has two years of eligibility remaining in the Ducks’ infield.
