PGF 14U Premier Nationals Preview: Lot of Talent, No Favorites… Yet

The OC Batbusters – Campbell made it to the 14U Premier title game last year and has the firepower to do it again.

Today starts the run to the PGF 14U Premier championship which, last summer, was one of the great storylines of the year as the Texas Dirt Divas–a one-team standout and relatively unknown commodity–seemingly came out of nowhere to win it all over a talented Mark Campbell-coached OC Batbusters team that had to come all the way through the Loser’s Bracket and just fell short, losing 4-3.

This week, it looks like there are a ton of teams who can go the distance and when we did the Extra Inning Softball Elite 50 14U Club Rankings in the spring the Batbusters–along with familiar organizational names like the Corona Angels, Diamond Sports Hotshots, Beverly Bandits, So Cal Choppers, So Cal A’s and A’s Mercado were all high on the list of ones who have strong championship chances.

Tuesday morning starts Bracket Play and Carlos Arias of SoCalSidelines.com will be onsite like us at Extra Inning Softball to report on the action.

Here’s a look at who Carlos and Brentt Eads of Extra Inning Softball believe will be the ones to watch this week culminating in the championship game Saturday which starts at 5:30 pm in Deanna Stadium in Irvine California…
