Getting to the Final Four in any tournament takes talent, skill, some lucky breaks and once in while having everything go your way.
Thursday started off with 16 teams still alive in the PGF 14U Premier Winner’s Bracket and by the end of the day only a quartet of teams were still undefeated.
One of those was guaranteed to be a Diamond Sports Hotshot as the first-year Nate Nelson team squared off against the second-year Troy Falterman squad in a match-up of friends who’ve played each other many times. The key to the game, however, would be somewhat of a surprise.
