Position: Right-handed pitcher
College: Texas Southern University

Where will you be signing your Letter of Intent this week?
I will be signing in my high school arena.

Will it be a big occasion or more low-key?
It’s going to be a pretty big occasion. There are around 15 other people signing that day and I have a lot of friends, teammates, family, and coaches coming.

Will you do anything to celebrate the big day?
The only big celebration I’m having is my signing that morning. I have invited many of my friends, family, and coaches so that they are able to share this moment with me.

What date (if you remember) did you actually commit and how long ago was it?
I committed July 9th of 2017. Almost a year and a half ago.

What highlight stands out to you about the recruiting process?
The recruiting process can be long and stressful but at the end of the day all of the work pays off!

What was the “aha” moment when you knew the program was the right one for you?
Coach (Worley) Barker made it very clear that education comes before softball and that is something I really loved. I want to be at a university that prioritizes my learning and goals for the future.

What will signing with your dream school mean to you personally and to those who’ve been part of your success (family, coaches, teammates, etc.)?
It means so much to me because of how hard and long I worked to accomplish this dream. To those who have played a role in my success I think it will make them very proud to see that all their hard work for me paid off.

How much gear/product do you have of your future school?
I have a decent amount of gear. I have a lot of different t-shirts that I like to wear.

What’s next for you and your softball plans this year?
This year I am focusing on getting stronger and faster so that I am well equipped for college softball next year.

Did you ever think this day—signing with your dream school—would come?
I always dreamed of it happening, but I never thought that dream would actually come true. To think that my dream is now a reality is something that so cool to me.
