Scrap Yard Fast Pitch Back Home, Begins Three-Game Series Tonight

The Scrap Yard Fast Pitch pro team returns back to its home base in Houston, Texas after a long 10-day road trip to Southern California.

In that stretch, the team–minus 12 players competing for USA Softball including Monica Abbott, Valerie Arioto, Amanda Chidester and Hannah Flippen and several others for Team Mexico such as Dallas Escobedo–played four exhibitions in Walnut, California going 4-0 and then competed in the USA Softball International Cup in Irvine, California over the last week where it went 3-3 with wins over Puerto Rico, Chinese Tapei and Peru and losses to USA Red (the Cup Champion), China and Canada.

Back at the Scrap Yard Sports Complex and with a day off Monday to rest, the Scrap Yard vs. Nationals format will resume with games tonight, Wednesday and Thursday before wrapping up its summer series of 24 games with a pair of contests next Tuesday and Wednesday in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
