Scrap Yard Fast Pitch Summer Tour Starts Tonight!

The Scrap Yard Fast Pitch pro team kicks off its 2018 summer series—24 games live streamed by Extra Inning Softball—starting tonight, Friday, June 8, at the Scrap Yard Sports Complex in Houston, Texas.

According to Connie May, the Scrap Yard Fastpitch General Manager, “Where you see ‘SYFP vs Nationals’ on the schedule like this weekend, those games will be against a split-squad team that is primarily a compilation of players from at least five different countries, all of whom play for their respective national teams (United States, Mexico, Great Britain, Italy and the Netherlands).”

During the summer, the Scrap Yard Fast Pitch team will be playing a total of 30 games in five states including Texas, Louisiana, California, Colorado, and South Carolina.

The GM, addressing fans of the team and those in the softball community, continues, “Scrap Yard Fast Pitch is an independent women’s professional fastpitch softball team dedicated to growing the game by bringing the game to the fans. We want to thank all of you for supporting our team and our players by helping us grow our social media outreach to more than 600,000 total followers.”

“Now it’s our turn to show you our appreciation by bringing our games to you! We will be playing against 11 different teams… and even if you can’t catch a game in person, you can catch our games professionally produced to the highest standards at Extra Inning Softball for free!”

“If you are able to watch us play in person, there will have plenty of opportunities to interact with our players and coaches before and after each game, so get there early to watch warm-ups and stay late to hang out with the team after the game.”

“And bring your friends and families; the more the merrier! Remember: players under 18 who wear their uniforms get in free!”
