Scrap Yard Fast Pitch had a big day on Saturday beating Puerto Rico 6-5 and Mexico 10-5 and faces Chinese Taipei and Mexico today (notice the game times, which have changed).
In the opening contest, Scrap Yard trailed 3-1 entering the top of the 7th inning and drew within a run but was down to its last strike as Tori Vidales fell behind 0-2 in the count.
However, the former Texas A&M star belted a two run double to put the Scrap Yard team ahead and it would go on to win 5-3.
In the second game the pro team from Texas led 6-5 before blowing open the game to win 10-5 against Team Mexico.

Following this weekend’s action, the USA Softball International Cup will then begin its week-long series of games featuring the two USA teams, Scrap Yard and squads representing Chinese Taipei, China, Puerto Rico, Peru, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Columbia and the Czech Republic.
Nearly 50 games will take place from Monday, July 9 through the championship game on Sunday, July 15 with four games and the championship aired on ESPN Networks and the other games live streamed.
