Our plan was to honor a National High School Player of the Week each week during the spring and summer high school seasons, but that is obviously in jeopardy now with the pending postponement or cancellation of spring sports including softball due to the threat of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
As there were games played last week, we will recognize those who had an outstanding week–and hopefully not for the last time this year! The deadline for submitting nominations and information is Monday at noon EST/9 am PST.
This week’s action should be from last Sunday, March 8, 2020 through Saturday, March 14, 2020.
We’re looking for standouts who excelled in the circle, at the plate or in the field so be sure to nominate your favorite performance(s) by submitting the following:
- Player Name
- Grad Year (example: Class of 2018 or Senior)
- Position(s)
- High school team name with city/state
- Stats for the week (be as detailed as possible!)
- Up-to-date season stats if possible
- Recruiting information if applicable
- Any interesting background on the player
- Action and/or head shots
- If possible, contact info if we’d like more info or quotes
