Queens University head coach Stacey Schramm has resigned her position, sources confirmed to Extra Inning Softball on Thursday.

Schramm was in her seventh season of her second stint leading the Royals’ program. She previously spent the 2009 and 2010 seasons in Charlotte before beginning her current tenure in 2017.

Prior to her current stint at Queens, Schramm spent six seasons as the head coach at George Washington. She is the winningest head coach in GW program history. Her resume also includes three years as head coach at Wheeling Jesuit.

The Queens program is currently in its first year of a transition from Division 2 to Division 1. The Royals are 8-9 in their inaugural D1 season and are set to begin ASun conference play this weekend against Stetson in DeLand, Florida.
