San Diego has hired Tatum Edwards as an assistant coach.
Edwards will serve as the Toreros’ pitching coach; she joins the program after spending the summer as a facilitator for Athletes Unlimited.Â
In early June, Edwards was announced as an assistant coach at Valparaiso but never coached for the Beacons following a head coaching change.
During the 2022 season, Edwards was the head coach at Concordia Nebraska, an NAIA school. She guided that program to 23 wins in her sole season as head coach.
In addition to her time at Concordia, Edwards’ resume includes three years as an assistant coach at Omaha, one year as the volunteer assistant at Purdue, and two years as a graduate assistant at Nebraska, her alma mater.
While at Nebraska, Edwards and San Diego head coach MJ Knighten were teammates for the 2014 season.
