14U CLUB SCOUTING REPORT
Extra Inning Softball out the Extra Elite Eighty 14U Club Rankings last week, so let’s take a look at Coach Josh Johnson‘s team …

Extra Elite Eighty 14U Club Ranking: 55
2019 Fall Record: 16-8-1. We played in the two college Camp Events on the campuses of James Madison University and Liberty University, competing against 16U teams. We defeated the Starz Gold 16U-National Team, Hotshots 16U-GA, Cape Fear Storm 16U. We played one 16U Tournament, finishing second place losing to Stars National 16U in ITB.
We played in three major national events, competing in Super Pools. In the showcases, we batted everyone and rotated pitchers. We were followed by SEC, ACC, BIG 12, and many other colleges. We only played one other first-year 14U team (Birmingham Thunderbolts-Burns).
- Diamond 9 Sun Classic Fall Showcase (3-3): We defeated Athletics Nielsen 2022, Corona Angels FTS 2023 and Carolina Elite SC 14U Genovese. Lost to Lady Dukes Lamar, Athletics Mercado Tidd, and Ohio Hawks Lenos.
- Scenic City Fall Showcase (3-2): We defeated Southern Force Chancey, Lady Lightning Gold LLG Futures, Ohio Hawks Galownia. Lost to Fury Platinum FP Brown 2-1 and Tampa Mustangs-Dodge.
- T-Bolts 5 Star Fall Showcase (2-2-1): We defeated Fury Platinum Morrison, Tampa Mustangs Seymour and tied Ohio Outlaws Premier. Lost to Georgia Impact-Janney and Thunderbolts Burns.
2019 Summer Record: 40-17.
Top Finishes: Went 5-2 at PGF 12U Premier Nationals and 4-3 at 12U USA Elite Select WFC.
Returners:
- Destiny Harris (2024, OF, #20 in 2024, Extra Elite 100, a complete offensive standout. Batted .414 with 11 HRs, three triples, nine doubles, 33 RBIs, 34 runs and was a perfect 22 of 22 on SBs in the fall. She throws 66 mph overhand and has sub 2.7 home-to-first speed. She hit a HR every 5.9 at bats)
- Rylie Johnson (2025, OF/1B, USA Elite Select All-American (2018), Select 30 All-American (2019), a lefty hitter. Batted .428 with a HR, three triples, seven doubles, 19 RBIs, 26 runs and 16 SBs in the fall. She throws 62 mph overhand and sub 2.9 home-to-first speed. Very solid defensively at 1B or in the OF)
- Lilly Parrish (2024, P/1B/3B, #123 in Class of 2024, Select 30 All-American (2019). Batted .350 with three doubles, 14 RBIs and was steady in the circle throwing 31 innings with 23 strikeouts and four wins in the fall. She pitches consistently in the 57-60 mph range. Pitching Instructor is Rick Pauley)
- Sydney Young (2024, P/1B/3B, #116 in Class of 2024, USA Elite Select All-American (2018). Batted .400 with a HR, a triple, seven doubles, 14 RBIs, four runs and was the team’s best pitcher in the fall. The right-hander threw 33.2 innings with 24 strikeouts and seven wins. She pitches consistently in the upper 58-61 mph range. Pitching Instructor is Rick Pauley)
- Kate Braden (2024 C/OF, USA Elite Select All-American (2018). Batted .348 with a HR, a triple, eight doubles, 15 RBIs, 12 runs and was 7 of 7 on SBs in the fall. She is a rock behind the plate with overhand throwing velocity of 66 mph and 1.8 pop time)
- Melissa Acors (2024, MIF, a lefty hitter that batted .326 with three doubles, six RBIs, 7 runs and one SB in the fall. She has a high softball IQ and has an overhand throwing velocity of 61 mph)
- Alyssa Jones (2024, OF, batted .464 with three triples, four doubles, 6 RBIs, 17 runs and 10 of 10 on SBs. She has sub 2.9 home-to-first speed and throws overhand at 63 mph)
- Bailey Bucholz (2024, 3B/SS, USA Softball Region 2 Member for 12U All-American Games (2019). Batted .228 with two doubles, 4 RBIs and 4 runs in the fall. She plays incredible defense at 3B and has an overhand velocity of 62 mph)
- Aubrey Steckline (2024, MIF, USA Elite Select All-American (2018). Batted .225 with a triple, two RBIs, 10 runs and 6 of 6 on SBs. She is an athletic, quiet leader who has an overhand throwing velocity of 62 mph)
