Tina Andreana has joined the coaching staff at UNLV.
Andreana will serve as the Rebels’ pitching coach and has already joined the program mid-season.
“So excited to announce that I have joined the staff at UNLV! Looking forward to taking on the 2023 season as a Rebel!” Andreana wrote on her social media page in mid-February.
The transaction marks Andreana’s second tenure on head coach Kristie Fox’s staff at UNLV; she previously spent the 2018 and 2019 seasons in Las Vegas after being hired in the fall of 2017.
Andreana spent the last three seasons as the head coach at Simon Fraser, the only Division II school located in Canada. Andreana led the program to a 13-5 record before the 2020 season was abruptly halted, then shepherded the squad through a canceled 2021 season and an 18-22 record last year.
During her own collegiate playing career, Andreana spent three years as a pitcher at Oregon State, helping lead the Beavers to the NCAA tournament in 2012 and ’13. She also played for the Canadian national team during her career in the circle.
Through three weeks of the 2023 season, UNLV boasts a 10-5 overall record.
